If there were an option to select more than 5 stars, I would have selected more! In order to understand my sincere gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Omkar Dave and his staff, you really have to know my whole story. If you don't want to read the whole review, then at least take the following synopsis of my experience: I highly recommend Dr. Dave for office visits, examinations and surgery. Words cannot express the high level of satisfaction and trust that I have in Dr. Omkar Dave, and Monica, his Medical Assistant. I went to see Dr. Dave as a second opinion. I initially went to Fondren Orthopedic Group in Baytown, and saw Dr. Horne, who I DO NOT RECOMMEND. After three office visits with him, averaging an hour and a half waiting in the waiting room each time, an X-ray, an MRI of my knee, and about $1500 billed, he never had touched or did a physical examination on the knee itself. My right knee began hurting about 2 months prior, and was making it extremely hard to walk. I was experiencing pain, locking, crunching,and a large amount of swelling. Dr. Horne's office staff was rude, and I still never received a diagnosis from him. After all this, I decided I did not want to spend any more time or money on seeing him, so I sought out Dr. Dave. First, I want to say that Monica, his Medical Assistant is one of the most attentive, caring, and the sweetest of office staff that I had ever encountered. I was able to see Dr. Dave the very same day that I called. Monica treated me like a person, and like she genuinely cared about the pain in my knee, and helping me to get treatment for whatever was wrong with it. She answered all kinds of questions, and never rushed me off the phone. Right away I felt confident in my decision to get a second opinion, and whom I decided to get that second opinion from. A lot of doctors don't understand that your office staff is the first line of contact that patients encounter, and their attitudes and the way that they treat patients has a direct impact on our impression of the doctors they serve. Dr. Dave hired well when he hired Monica. I showed up for my appointment with Dr. Dave early, and after filling out the medical forms was seen with no wait. He examined my MRI and X-ray, which I brought in on a disk, and spent 15 minutes doing all sorts of range of motion examinations on my knee. He actually physically inspected the knee while I was seated, while I was laying, etc. He sat in the room with me for at least 45 minutes and explained every aspect of the knee, the pain I was experiencing, what the MRI showed, what the X-ray showed, basically covering everything with me in layman terms. He answered all my questions,treating me like I was not a patient to bill, but a person who needed help. He didn't have the normal stuck up, holier than though attitude that a lot of doctors have. He suggested that a medial meniscus tear, and torn Cartilage under my knee cap was the culprit that was causing me so much pain. We scheduled surgery for one week from that day, and he performed a knee arthroscopy on my right knee yesterday. It was my first time ever having surgery, and he put my mind at east about the whole process, explaining it all to me so that there were no surprises. Monica, his medical assistant has checked in on my recovery and pain levels 3 times already, and its been less than 48 hours. Bottom line: You could not ask for a better office staff or doctor, than Dr Dave and Monica. I recommend them so very highly, and specifically recommend Dr. Dave for any and all Orthopedic worries, troubles, or pains you are having. I gladly serve as a testimony to his supreme service, and incredible surgical aptitude.

Dr Dave is a fantastic professional who really takes the time to listen to his patients and works to formulate an optimal recovery plan and best course of action. He ensures any of the patients questions are satisfactorily answered. I love his education first approach as often times we as patients often overlook the slow and hard recovery phase ahead; education certainly helps ease and deal with anxiety. I was pleasantly surprised when he reached out to check on my recovery 1.5 years after consultation. If you want a Bionic Knee 2.0, go visit Dr Dave now.
